Spirits: The Story of Jeju Island's Shamanic Shrines Part one: 'Story Healing'

This documentary film, the first in a series of three, introduces the viewer to shamanism on Jeju Island, South Korea where the director, Joey Rositano, has lived for more than a decade. The first film in the series focuses on the healing power of sacred storytelling.

Jeju Island, a major tourist destination in East Asia, is the world’s busiest commercial airspace. The island also harbors a well-kept secret, a shamanic tradition whose practice reaches back before recorded history.
